TAV-CB2W - When Siri Does not work

For some vehicles models paired with certain iPhones, customers may experience the Siri not functioning properly. When you summon Siri or try to listen to your text messages, the Siri bubble will end prematurely before you are able to provide your command or the whole text message is read. This is due to the Toyota voice assistant interrupting Siri. To fix this, we must change the audio routing from the car's bluetooth to AUX. Here is how you would perform this change:

From the Carplay screen on the car, select the orange settings icon, then settings, system, turn off audio to Bluetooth. The device will reboot.

Then go to your phone - settings - Accessibility - touch - call audio routing - change from automatic to Bluetooth headset.

Thengo to the Toyota native screen and change the audio source from Bluetooth to aux.

Thengo to your phoneBluetooth settings confirm that your car's Bluetooth name is Toyota (your model). If it's something else, change the name to Toyota (your model) while the phone is connected to the. car's Bluetooth.

If this works, we can send you a firmware update to add back the steering wheel track up and down controls. You will need to access the dip switch box to update it. If it's too much work, we can send you a new dip switch box with a return label for the one you have.
