  • A: You will have to purchase it from our website and either DIY the installation or have a local professional stereo shop do it for you. Installation labor fee will vary depending on the shop's hourly rate which can range from $100-$200/hour. This install may take several hours depending on the shop's experience and expertise.
  • Q: Can I listen to the car's radio or SAT radio while in Carplay / Android Auto mode?
  • A: You may listen to the car's native radio or SAT radio while in Carplay / Android Auto mode. However, you will not be able to hear Siri and turn by turn voice guidance. Instead, you may download the SAT radio application and/or radio application on your phone so that you may listen to the radio / SAT radio while in Carplay / Android Auto mode and hear Siri/turn by turn voice guidance.
  • Q: Is this compatible together with Beat-Sonic Front Camera Adapter?
  • A: Yes, this kit works great together with our front Camera Adapter

  • A: Yes, both will work together without issues.

  • A: Yes, this kit supports both wired and wireless solution

  • A: Audio quality will be the same as factory as the audio is routed to the car's bluetooth. You may even use your factory USB port if you have an iPhone for audio while in Carplay mode.
  • Q:Can we use usb inside arm rest (2 usb ports) to connect to this device?
  • A: Unfortunately this kit is not compatible with a 2hub system USB. If you have the single USB system, you can reuse the factory USB plug using an optional harness.
  • Q: May I route the USB cable to the factory USB ports in the center console?
  • A: Yes, you may route the USB cable to where you desire. 
  • Q: Will I lose factory USB ports from functioning?
  • A: No, you will be able to keep factory USB ports and will continue to work with your factory infotainment system.

  • A: Yes, the phone will charge while being connected.
  • Q: Will this unit receive regular apple carplay updates like stock units?
  • A: The actual update is being done on your phone and will reflect on device when you use it.

Worth it for sure

It functionally works

First, the positives. The instructions for the install are very good. It took me a lot longer then what I thought but following the video instruction was very helpful. My biggest trouble was with the clips when releasing cords. It took me about 4 hours. I use Android auto and the reviews for Android auto stated it didn't look as good. I think it looks great. Toggling through apps is seamless and much more efficient than just having Bluetooth and holding your phone. The cons; my wife and I use interchangeably our cars frequently. Because of this our Bluetooth changes daily. I've noticed the transition between the phones is clunky. I understand that you have to manually switch the Bluetooth through Lexus settings and that would not be this products fault, but when I switch it over I have to turn the car off one or two times for the music to play and for it to sync properly. Whenever I keep just my phone I have no issues. So there is clunkiness when switching phones. Because of this I can't give it five stars. However that being said I still would buy this product. It's absolutely worth it. I'll be curious about the longevity of the product. If there is longevity then this is definitely four star product. If they could fix the Bluetooth issue this is absolutely a five star product. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase and the cost is justified.

2016 Lexus RX350

Did lots of research on CarPlay that was compatible with 2016 Lexus rx350. This is a great product that uses the existing wide screen and cars original features. Easy to use! Had audio shop install, he was happy with it also. Used utube videos.

Solid product, good video instructions.

So far so good, keeps the connection and sounds good through bluetooth connection. I used a cheaper unit on a prior vehicle that kept dropping signal. The BeatSonic unit has been solid so far.
